Jesus and his disciples visit Martha and Mary. During the visit, Martha busies herself to distraction with work. Meanwhile, Mary abides at Jesus' feet, focusing on His teaching. Jesus commends Mary's decision, pointing out that disciples should first abide, then allow works of Christian service to flow from a healthy relationship with Him.
