Repent, Renew, Repeat - Video

As Samuel nears the end of his leadership of Israel and Saul begins his prominence as newly appointed King, Samuel gives a powerful farewell speech. While God will continue his faithfulness to Israel, based on his character, Samuel reminds Israel that sin has destructive consequences. God loves them enough to discipline them. By reflecting on the "state of the nation", Samuel appeals to Israel to REPENT of their sin, and RENEW God's place as their divine king. This process is necessary in the life of the modern-day disciple, too! If we are to truly have the life that God desires for us, we must constantly be on the lookout for sin in our lives! When we see it we must REPENT—literally change our mind—RENEW—put the Lord God in his rightful place as King of our life—and REPEAT this process as necessary. When we continue on this path, we can truly be more and more like Jesus every day. Repent, Renew, Repeat.
