Jesus continues his instruction on what discipleship truly looks like in this section of Luke. After warning of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, he moves to an area of life in which we can all fall into hypocrisy: covetousness. Through "the parable of the rich fool" we see that life does not consist of the abundance of one's possessions. This applies to each one of us in myriad ways!
